Sofia Coppola will be filming a tv series for the first time!

The series, which will be adapted from the novel’ Custom of the Country’, will air on Apple TV.

The series, which will be directed by the Academy Award-winning director, will tell the story of Undine Spragg, a Midwestern young woman trying to rise up in New York City Society. “Undine Spragg is my favorite antihero in literature, and I am thrilled to bring her to the screen for the first time,” Coppola said.

The production will be in Mini-series formt; Apple TV and Sofia Coppola’s second joint will be. The feature film “on the Rocks,” directed by Coppola for Apple TV; starring Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, is expected to be screened soon.

The director, who had no experience in TV, won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for “Lost In Translation” in 2004.
